Carbon County Safe Kids recently hosted a free car seat check at Kovatch Dealership Inc. in Lehighton Monday. During the two-hour check, numerous families brought their children's car seats to get them checked by Pennsylvania state troopers; as well as certified car seat technicians. The check helps parents by making sure the child's seat is properly installed in the vehicle and that it is not expired or has been recalled.
