The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is advising motorists traveling on the Northeastern Extension (I-476) of the turnpike between the Lehigh Tunnel and Mahoning Valley (Exit 74) Interchange to be prepared for nighttime single-lane patterns to impact traffic through Thursday between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning.

Crews will begin performing bridge deck repairs northbound in the right-lane on Tuesday (9/14). Work will continue in the southbound left-lane on Wednesday (9/15) and the right-lane Thursday (9/16).

All work will be conducted overnight and motorists should be aware of the potential for delays while the single–lane patterns are in place.

Motorists traveling northbound and southbound should stay alert for slow moving or stopped traffic within the project work zone located between milepost A74-A76 until crews are off the roadway. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather and subject to change.

For construction updates and travel advisory information, visit the project website at www.lehighbridge.com [1].

Motorists are urged to stay alert for slow moving traffic and use extra caution when approaching and entering construction zones and obey posted speed limits. Speed limits will be enforced and fines increased.
