Dear Editor:

We are writing this letter as an appeal to the esteemed Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21 board of directors in regard to Robert Sutjak, transportation manager. Many of us have worked with Mr. Sutjak for the entire duration of this employment with CLIU. During that time, he effortlessly and consistently demonstrated traits of professionalism, leadership and empathy.For over a year, Mr. Sutjak ran the department proficiently acting as manager and taking on many of the tasks of the former Director of Transportation. All throughout his leadership, the department continued to grow. Morale increased and driver/aides mechanics and office staff knew that Bob led with an open-door policy. Disciplinary actions were handled with fairness and tact.We have gone from a friendly, safe, familylike workplace to what we now consider to be a hostile work environment, at best. Further, we think it unjust and unfair how Mr. Sutjak has been mistreated. Morale is at an all-time low in the transportation department with employees feeling ill at ease on a daily basis.When meeting regarding the current circumstances surrounding Mr. Robert Sutjak, please take our well thought out remarks under careful and close consideration.Thank you for your time and attention.Sincerely,Concerned CLIU transportationemployees(names on file)
