Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Boyle of Tamaqua have announced the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Elizabeth, to Michael Edward Searfoss, son of Carol Searfoss and the late Edward Searfoss III of Reading.

The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a 2004 graduate of Alvernia College. She has a M.Ed. from Penn State University and is currently teaching fifth grade at St. Peter School in Reading.The prospective bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School and a 2001 graduate of Alvernia College. He is currently employed by Valenti Management as a general manager for Wendy's Restaurant in Exeter.The couple is planning a June 2012 wedding.
