McCann School of Business and Technology Pottsville Campus, hosted Career Day on Friday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Nearly 140 senior students, representing Blue Mountain; Mahanoy Area; Minersville; STC; Shenandoah Valley, Tamaqua, and Williams Valley were in attendance.

The day focused on six areas of interest, including allied health, business, criminal justice, human service, informational technology, and trades.

The Career Day also included three speakers per area of interest from the business community, representing various occupations, to share their experience of the job they do every day.

Participating employers included Ashland Technologies; Northwestern Human Services; Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven Area EMS; Saint Catherine Medical Center; Sapa Industrial Extrusions; SCI Frackville/Mahanoy and the Tamaqua Area School District.

Each student also did a personality assessment to help them gauge their career interests.
