Lansford OLAA students reenact first Thanksgiving

Students at Our Lady of the Angels Academy in Lansford celebrated Thanksgiving by remembering the First Thanksgiving that took place in 1621.

Pilgrims (kindergarten) and actors/actresses (eighth grade).Actors and actresses in the eighth grade class performed a skit for their Prayer Partners in Kindergarten and first grade. Then the eighth grade joined the kindergarten students, who portrayed pilgrims, and first graders, who played Native Americans, in giving thanks for all of our blessings. Each student prayed and thanked God for something special in their life. Then all of the students shared fruits, vegetables, breads, and juice, much like the Pilgrims and Native Americans did at the first Thanksgiving.
