Monroe crashes are investigated

State police at Fern Ridge reported on two crashes investigated by troopers on Monroe County roadways.

A crash occurred about 12:55 p.m. on Nov. 17 along SR209, near Scott St., in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Shannon E. Henry, 17, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2006 Mazda 6 southbound while Luther A. Musselman, 67, of Slatington, was operating a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am northbound.Troopers said Henry made a left turn directly in front of Musselman and a collision occurred.Henry, Musselman and his passenger, Darlene A. Musselman, 66, same address, were all injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment.Henry was cited for vehicle turning left.The second crash occurred about 4:55 a.m. on Nov. 19 along SR715 in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Thelora E. Weaver, 21, of Jim Thorpe, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Prizm southbound when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree along the east berm.Weaver and her passenger, Andrew Dunn, 25, also of Jim Thorpe, were not injured.The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.Troopers said Weaver was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
