At least three persons were injured and flown from the scene of a serious one car crash along SR903 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, Friday afternoon. The crash occurred near 1:30 p.m. as the vehicle was being driven southbound about a half mile north of the Maury Road intersection. For some unknown reason the vehicle veered off the right berm impacting with a tree head-on. Three of the injured were flown from the scene, two by MedEvac helicopters and one by PennStar helicopter to Lehigh Valley area hospitals. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
