Grant applications for funding of projects in two townships were reviewed by the Schuylkill County Planning Commission at its monthly meeting held Wednesday evening at the courthouse in Pottsville and found they complied with county requirements.

Blythe Township Munciipal Authority has applied for funds to the Commenwealth Financing Authority for construction of Crystal Run intake rehabilitation and a grant application by East Brunswick Township to the Pennsylvania DCNR to make improvemetns to the East Brunswick Township park.The commission reviewd Mahanoy Township's Zoning Ordinance amendment to include windmills, decks, patios and setback requirements in an R-3 District and had no comment.The commission granted conditional approval to two subdivision plans to allow them time to carry out additional requests made by the board. Dennis G. and Cindy L. Wessner, Porter Township, seek to subdivide 13.7959 acres into one lot for a separate business from residue tract. The plan of 111-113 East Biddle Street seeks to subdivide 0.25 of an acre in Gordon Borough in to two lots for annexation to single family homes.
