Jim Thorpe's baseball team ended the season with a win, defeating North Schuylkill in action Monday.

In the only other game, Thorpe's softball team was no-hit by the Spartans.

Jim Thorpe finished off a dissapointing season on a positive note, gaining a 5-2 victory over North Schuylkill in its finale.

Dan Russo knocked in three runs for the Olympians, who ended the year with a 4-16 overall record and a 2-12 mark in Schuylkill League Division I action.

Sean Green had a hit and scored two runs for Thorpe, while Pat Janecki earned the pitching win and added a double at the plate.

Alyssa Smith threw a no-hitter and Courtney McGrath slugged a home run to lead North Schuylkill to a 14-0 Schuylkill League Division I win over host Jim Thorpe.

Kaitlin Karavage had two hits, one a double, for the winners.

With the loss, the Olympians fall to 2-17 overall and 1-13 in the league.
