Rachel Serfass, 10, daughter of Karen and Steve Serfass, Lehighton, was named Poppy Queen of Shoemaker-Haydt American Legion Auxiliary Unit 314. Serfass attends Franklin Elementary School and enjoys playing softball on the Bowmanstown Blaze team where she is a shortstop, second baseman and pitcher. Fritz will accompany Serfass at various sites to promote the poppy program. She will be at Carbon Plaza Mall May 14-15 and at the Memorial Day and Veterans Day parades.
