District 2879 Avon Products, managed by Rose Reese, along with representatives from District 2888 worked together selling "Bentley the Bear" to raise monies for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The funds were raised for the Greater Northeast Chapter of the Foundation which serves Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia.
The Avon Products independent sales representatives raised a total of $1,735 to help make a child's wish come true.
A check in that amount was presented to Make-A-Wish volunteer Danielle Argot at the District 2879 sales meeting which was held last week at the Polk Township Fire Co. in Kresgeville.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization that grants the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions.
Eligible children can wish for anything from a Caribbean cruise to being a superhero for a day.
On May 14th, the Foundation will conduct a "Wish Upon A Star Dinner Dance" at the Stroudsmoor Inn. Anyone interested in attending or donating an item to auction off can contact Danielle Argot 570-839-7673.
Avon representatives conduct fundraisers for other non-profit organization throughout the year such as the Pleasant Valley Band, girl scouts, Sunday schools, parent's groups, day cares, breast cancer awareness, etc.
