Pleasant Valley opened up league play with a girls soccer win on Monday.

Pleasant Valley used two second-half goals to pull away from East Stroudsburg North for a 3-0 Mountain Valley Conference win.

Dianna Connor gave the Bears a 1-0 lead with a first-half goal. PV (2-0) then used second-half tallies from Maggie Patterson and Kayla Dorney to clinch the victory.

Kaiti Forte, Kira Sever and Kristin Hart all had assists for the Bears.

PV had an 18-6 advantage in shots with Bear keeper Jackie Guiliano making five saves.

No. Lehigh-Salisbury

Northern Lehigh gained a 2-1 first-half lead, but Salisbury scored seven unaswered in the second half to post an 8-2 Colonial League win.

Kelsey Hadinger finished with a hat trick and assists for the winners.

Briana Riddick and Carly Gavala scored the Northern Lehigh goals. Riddick also had one assist.

Northern Lehigh goalie Emily Mulcahy had 14 saves, while lauren Fischer had eight for Salisbury (1-2, 0-1).

Sukearia Powell added two goals, while Caitlin Hrebik (one goal and assist), Emily Kotch (one goal) and Katelyn Turri (one goal) finished out the scoring.
