Volunteers cleaning Tamaqua Historical Society Museum

A number of dedicated volunteers are working hard to clean and restore parts of the Tamaqua Historical Society Museum located at 114 West Broad St. in preparation for Tamaqua's Summerfest scheduled for Father's Day, Sunday June 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The festival will be held in the historic downtown Tamaqua. Crafts, ethnic foods, displays, free entertainment and other activities will fill the streets. The Tamaqua Historical Society organizes the festival with the Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce. For more information, to volunteer, or to register for a spot call 570-668-5722 or 570-668-1880.
