The new Nesquehoning Police Station stands on the west side of the Nesquehoning Recreation Center. After a final inspection a few minor items will need to be addressed and the police will probably start moving in next week. New computers and furniture will be added/ S and K Construction of Tobyhanna was the contractor.A painter is seen putting final touches to spots inside the station. Two holding cells can be seen. The large addition to the Nesquehoning Recreation Centerwill be a much-needed place for the police officers. A grant covers the addition of a meeting room, holding cells, an office for the Chief of Police and storage area. Ronald Tirpak, borough engineer, was on hand for the inspection along with Mayor Tony Walck and council woman Rose Walck.
