Twelve defendants were slated to have hearings yesterday after being arrested in a $1.2 million multicounty heroin and burglary ring.

The burglaries occurred in Carbon, Schuylkill, Lehigh, and Northampton counties.

Five of the defendants had their hearings.

Seven opted to waive the charges to Carbon County Court.

Those who had hearings and their respective charges are:

Ÿ Robert Cesanek, 23, of Carbon County Prison, charged with criminal conspiracy burglary, criminal trespass, burglary, corrupt organizations, criminal conspiracy to deliver heroin, and person not to possess a firearm.

Ÿ Wayne Thorpe, 45, of Carbon County Prison, charged with corrupt organization, burglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, and criminal conspiracy possession with the intent to distribute heroin.

Ÿ Zack Lienhard, 19, of Nesquehoning, charged with corrupt organization, criminal conspiracy possession with intent to distribute heroin.

Ÿ Waheeb Girgis, 55, of Lehighton, charged with criminal conspiracy, dealing in the proceeds of unlawful activity, corrupt organizations, and receiving stolen property.

Ÿ Donald Dorward Sr., 64, of Lehighton, charged with criminal conspiracy, dealing in the proceeds of unlawful activity, corrupt organizations, and receiving stolen property.

Ÿ Daniel Eremus of Lehighton, criminal conspiracy, dealing in the proceeds of unlawful activity, corrupt organizations, and receiving stolen property.

Ÿ Jonathon Maury, 22, of Lansford, charged with corrupt organizations, criminal conspiracy, possession with the intent to distribute heroin.

Ÿ Victor Rodriguez, 54, of Lehigh County Correctional Institute, charged with corrupt organizations, criminal conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute heroin, and possession with the intent to deliver heroin.

Ÿ John Aleksiejezyk, 40, of Nesquehoning, charged with corrupt organizations, criminal conspiracy possession with intent to distribute heroin, person not to possess a firearm, receiving stolen property.

Ÿ Edward Cesanek, 29, of Nesquehoning, charged with receiving stolen property, corrupt organizations, criminal conspiracy burglary, burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, and person not to possess a firearm.

Ÿ Kira Cesanek, 28, of Nesquehoning, criminal conspiracy burglary, receiving stolen property, corrupt organizations, burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, and person not to possess a firearm.

Ÿ Amanda Rogers, 21, of Coaldale, corrupt organizations and criminal conspiracy, possession with the intent to distribute heroin.
