Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on several drug arrests made by officers recently.

On July 22 about 11:59 p.m. police made a vehicle stop along SR903 just off SR115, in Thunkhannock Township, for a vehicle code violation. The driver was identified as Leon M. Sutton Jr., 21, of Bronx, N.Y. Further investigation revealed Sutton had possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was cited for those two offenses.On Sunday, July 26, officers on bicycle patrol in the area surrounding the Pocono Mountain Volunteer Firemans carnival observed two males loitering in an alley of Belmont Ave., behind the Cloud Crest Motel.Officers observed one male urintating in public. The two were identified as Derek Garis, 18, of Cresco, and a 16-year-old male juvenile. A further investigation revealed both had possession of a small amount of marijuana. Garis was cited and released. The juvenile was cite and then released to the custody of a parent.On Monday, July 27, about 8:41 p.m. officers on bike patrol at the carnival observed males sitting inside a vehicle parked at the Pocono Rug Co., off SR611. Officers made contact with the two whom they observed in possession of a bottle of vodka.The two were identified as Eric Cordisco, 21, of Pocono Lake, and a 17-year-old male juvenile. The juvenile had possession of the vodka which was purchased by Cordisco, owner of the vehicle. The teen also had a small amount of marijuana. Both were cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana and alcohol violations and released.
