"We have been planning this since last year. We just want to show the public some of the things our Boy Scouts can do and we want everyone to have some fun learning about the Boy Scouts," said Scout Master Hawk. The Jamboree was opened to the public for a day long event of activities such as the tomahawk throw, making wooden mallets, rope bridge walking and making arrow heads. Demonstrations on rope making, backpacking and Dutch oven cooking was on tap throughout the day. The event was to held celebrate the 100th birthday of the Boy Scouts of America.
