Robin Tracey, Tuscarora State Park's Environmental Education Specialist, invites area residents to join him Aug. 1 for a hike to the Pinnacle on the Appalachian Trail.

The hike is 11.5 miles and moderate in difficulty. Hikers will meet at 10 a.m. in the lower parking lot in the Weiser Forest District just off Route 61 South in Port Clinton. From there, the group will car pool to the trailhead. Tracey advises all attendees to bring a bag lunch.

Pre-registration is required as space is limited. To register, call Tracey at (570) 467-2506 or visit the park's calender of events at [1].

Shine only.
