Tamaqua organizations revitalize Train Station grounds, parking lot

Members from local Tamaqua organizations came together over the past week to revitalize the Tamaqua Train Station grounds and parking lot.

First the Tamaqua Borough had a couple of teens perform community service at the lot by picking up garbage. Next volunteer members from the Tamaqua Beautification Association spent some time cleaning and pulling weeds at the lot.Members of the Tamaqua Leo Club and Tamaqua Volunteers group came together to pick up trash, pull weeds, cut grass, and lay all new red mulch around the Train Station parking lot. The Tamaqua Volunteers group donated the new mulch as well as other supplies and food.John Hadesty, owner of Stone Gardens in Tamaqua, donated a new wheelbarrow to the Tamaqua Volunteers group during the revitalization.
