Beltzville State Park rangers closed the gate to the park at 9:30 a.m. Sunday when it reached it's full capacity but that did not deter thousands of individuals from walking as many as five miles to get to the main gate. Motorists were backed up as far as the Pennsylvania Turnpike in an effort to get to the lake.
