Robbery suspect brought back

A Schuylkill County man charged with the armed robbery of a county store has been brought back to the county from Viriginia where he was captured.

State police from the Schuylkill Haven barracks returned William A Kistler, 26, of 110 River St., Cressona, to the county on Thursday. He was arraigned at 7:50 p.m. before duty District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville, in lieu of $100,000 straight cash bail.In addtion to armed robbery and theft of a vehicle, Kistler was also charged with theft, receiving stolen property, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and firearm violations.Troopers charged Kistler with entering the Red & White Market, located at the intersection of SR61 and Earl St., North Manheim Township, about 5:15 a.m. on Wednesday and brandishing a black handgun and demanding money. He fled on foot but later stole a vehicle.He was stopped later Wednesday in Fredericksburg, Va., driving the stolen vehicle and taken into custody. Schuylkill Haven troopers went to Virginia on Thursday with warrants for his arrest and transported him back to the county.
