Schuylkill arbitration awards made

Arbitration boards ruled in favor of financing firms and against holders of credit cards who have defaulted on payments after hearings held in Schuylkill County court.

HSBC Bank-Nevada, of Las Vegas, Nev., obtained a judgment against Bruce Edmunds, of 546 E. Elm St., Tamaqua, in amount of $15,213.52 plus costs and a judgment against Dohn L. Drumheller, of 16 Smoking Lane, Tower City, in the amount of $3,245.17 plus costs.Remit Coporation, Bloomsburg, a collection agency, obtained a judgment against Robert F. Smith, of 51 Grace Ave., Schuylkill Haven, in amount of $5,000 plus costs. LVNV Funding, LLC, Mount Laurel, N.J., obtained a judgment against Todd W. Adams, of 20 Lake St., Pottsville, in amount of $9,662.45 plus costs.Guy Julian, a licensed auto dealer, trading as Valley Autos Exchange, Hegins, won its suit against Guy William Rothermel, of Reading, by obtaining a judgement in amount of $11,971.17. The auto dealer claimed Rothermel failed to pay the purchase price of a vehicle. The dealer claimed he obtained a specific vehicle in an auction requested by the customer. The customer claimed the purchase price depended on him being able to obtain financing and when he was unable to obtain the money he returned the car. He claimed he drove the vehicle only 750 miles.Luckenbill Brothers Paving Inc., SR183, Schuylkill Haven, obtained a judgment against Milddleport Materials Inc., of Teleford, in amount of $23,876.62 plus costs. The paving company claimed it delivered crush stone and quarry products from the defendant's business place to various sites in Schuylkill and Carbon counties.Charles L. Lieberman, of 224 E. Pine St., Mahanoy City, obtained a judgment against David F. Souchak, 83 Trenton Road, Mahanoy Township, in amount of $6,000 for damage to his vehicle. On June 24, 2005, Lieberman and Souchak were involved in a motorcycle to motor vehicle collision in the area of Cemetery Road in Mahanoy Township. Lieberman claimed the motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve and crossed over the center line and collided with his vehicle. Souchak had a different story. He claimed when the vehicle was crossing over to his lane his cycle went down on its side and slid into the Lieberman's car.
