Lauren M. Moyer of Hometown has been named to the dean's list for exceptional performance of the fall 2009 semester at Villanova University.

She is a sophomore student majoring in business/accounting; and is the daughter of Joe and Melanie Moyer, Hometown.

Moyer is a graduate of Marian Catholic High School, where she was co-salutatorian for the Class of 2008. She is the recipient of the James Curvey Academic Scholarship at Villanova and the J.E. Morgan Scholarship.

Currently, during the spring 2010 semester, Moyer is studying abroad at the National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland. She will also complete an internship that is held in cooperation with the Villanova School of Business and the National University of Ireland for six weeks in the summer. The internship is a program that combines international work experience with overseas study.

During the stay in Ireland, the Villanova students are traveling throughout Europe including Germany, Poland, London, Sweden, Portugal and France.
