The engagement of Jennifer Farrell of Jim Thorpe to Ryan Baker of Pine Bush, N.Y., has been announced by her parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Lawrence and Kathleen Farrell of Jim Thorpe. She is a 2002 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and a 2006 graduate of East Stroudsburg University.She earned her doctorate at Sage Graduate School in New York in 2009. She is employed as a doctor of physical therapy.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Dianne Baker, Pine Bush, and the late Bill Baker. He is a 2003 graduate of Pine Bush High School, and received his HVAC certification in 2009 from Ulster BOCES in New York. He is employed by Russin Lumber in New York.A wedding date has not been set.
