Jeffrey P. Bowe receives Pa. Bar Association Pro Bono Award

A Tamaqua attorney has been selected as the recipient of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Pro Bono Award.

Jeffrey P. Bowe, of the law firm of Bowe, Lisella and Bowe, Tamaqua, received the award from Pa. Supreme Court Justice Michael Eakin during the Schuylkill County Bench/Bar Conference, held Oct. 28 at the Schuylkill County Club, Orwigsburg.The award is presented for legal services offered to clients without charge. Any member of the Pa. Bar Association is eligible for the award.Bowe has participated in the county's pro bono program for several years through Mid-Penn Legal Services, Pottsville. He has helped numerous clients obtain divorce degrees through his work, treating them with respect and supplying pro bono services in the high need area of family law.Bowe was congratulated on his award by Todd Miller, president of the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce, and Linda Yulanavage, the chamber's executive director. Among his civic involvements, Bowe is a member of the chamber's board of directors. He is secretary of Tamaqua Industrial Development Enterprises (TIDE) and treasurer of the Tamaqua Blue Raider Foundation. He is also the solicitor for the Tamaqua Area School District.
