It's back, bigger and better than ever.
The annual Health Fair at the Village at Palmerton will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 18.
Open to the public, the Health Fair offers a plethora of services and screenings to visitors free of charge, according to Jennifer Ebert, admissions and marketing director.
Ebert said visitors who attend the event can expect a plethora of services and screenings at their disposal.
Those include blood pressures, sugar checks, nutrition, sleep lab, pre planning funeral, home care and nursing services, and others, she said.
"In years past, we had a much smaller health fair," Ebert said. "This year, we've more than doubled in size, and will have over 30 vendors."
Ebert said the health fair is especially important for those who tend to avoid doctor visits.
"There are so many services that people are not aware of," she said. "They can actually utilize the services without having to go to them."
