Banks take new name

Employees of Horizon Signs of Quakertown remove the temporary East Penn Bank sign to reveal the more permanent First Niagra Bank sign along Route 443 in Mahoning Township, Friday. East Penn Bank branches closed at 5 p.m. Friday and reopened today as First Niagra Bank. Slipping the cover off the sign is Matt Horvath, right, owner of Horizon Signs, while his employee, Kevan Price, is left. Center is David D. Drunkenmiller, vice president branch manager. The sign company was extremely busy on Friday replacing signs at all New Niagra Bank locations in Lansford, Summit Hill, Mahoning Township and Slatington areas.
