The Borough of Tamaqua continues its annual Spring street cleaning operations next week.

Work will begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and at 5 a.m. on Thursday and Friday.

On Monday, streets scheduled to be cleaned include: Rolling Mill Ave., Rose to Biddle; Hazle, Greenwood to end; Walnut, Schuylkill Ave. to end; Chestnut, Schuylkill Ave. to end; Locust, Schuylkill Ave. to end; West, Franklin to West Union.

Tuesday's scheduled streets are: Water, Elm to Rowe; Cherry, Orwigsburg to Mahanoy; South, Bowe to Coal; West Union, Nescopec to Lincoln; Mauch Chunk, Pine to end; Biddle, Railroad to River; North, Elizabeth to Clark.

Wednesday's schedule will be: North Railroad, Pleasant Row; South Railroad, Spruce to end; East Cottage Ave., Center to Elizabeth; Spring, Mauch Chunk to Biddle; rear Mauch Chunk, Spring to end; Biddle, Greenwood to end.

On Thursday, the schedule will include: south side of Broad, Maff Motors to west borough line; South Railroad, Broad to Spruce; Center, Broad to south SR309 bridge; North Railroad, Broad to north SR309 bridge; Municipal Building and Magistrate's lots; rear Center, Mohn Building; Swatara, Jerome to St. Jerome's steps; Patterson, Broad to Mountain Ave., South Elizabeth, East End Ave. to Mountain Ave.

Streets scheduled for cleaning on Friday are: north side of Broad, Maff Motors to west borough line; Mauch Chunk, Broad to Pine; Berwick, Broad to Rowe; Nescopec, Hegarty Ave. to Cottage Ave.; Pine, Cedar to north SR309 bridge; parking lots on North Railroad, Hunter, Nescopec, Spruce and Swatara/Rowe streets

Streets will be posted in advance and parking will be prohibited. Vehicles not moved from posted streets at least two hours before the sweeper starts operations are subject to ticketing and towing. For more information, call (570) 668-3444.
