Cyclist damages property, flees

A motorcyclist damaged a home in Tamaqua on Thursday, April 1, and then fled the scene, but later contacted the property owner to accept responsibility.

Chrissy Estremera, of 347 E. Elm St., Tamaqua, called police at 7:15 p.m. Thursday to report damage to the side of her home caused by a man on a motorcycle. The incident took place shortly after 5 p.m.Officers were able to determine the motorcycle had been driven by Anthony Hunara, 55, of 304 Valley St., Brockton. When contacted, Hunara admitted his guilt and told officers he had recently spoken to Estremera, offering to pay for the damage.Charges are pending.
