The fourth annual West End Senior Fair, co-sponsored by state Reps. John Siptroth and Mike Carroll, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16 at the West End Fairgrounds in Gilbert.

This free event is open to the public.

Free flu shots will be offered to seniors who participate in Medicare Part B. People must show their Medicare card to get the free shot. Anyone else may get a flu shot for $30.

There will also be food, prizes, blood pressure and hearing screenings, and consumer credit counseling. Representatives from senior care facilities, social service agencies, businesses and other vendors will be there to share information.

"Representative Carroll and I look forward to talking with seniors about how the state revenue shortfall is affecting programs and services and to hearing about local residents' concerns," said Siptroth, D-Monroe/Pike.

More information is available by calling Siptroth's office at (570) 223-2636.
