A Monroe County woman was charged following a domestic incident.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers were dispatced to Summit Avenue in Pocono Summit about 7:24 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, to a report of a domestic incident.At the scene officers spoke with James Castro, 29. Officers observed that Castro's right eye was swollen. He said that Tara Soto, 27, had punched him in the face. Soto, police noted, was wearing multiple rings on her fingers.She was taken into custody and charged with simple assault. She was committed to the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment, police said.
