With leaves starting fall, Palmerton Borough plans to kick off its yearly collections next week.

Collection will start Oct. 21 and run through Nov. 27, according to the borough office. Here’s the weekly schedule:

Mondays: leaf pickup will take place at Residence Park, areas north of Colombia Avenue and east of Third Street.

Tuesdays: north sides of Lehigh and Franklin avenues.

Wednesdays: south sides of Columbia and Lafayette avenues and south sides of 100-200 blocks on Princeton, Edgemont and Harvard avenues.

Thursdays: north sides of Columbia and Lafayette avenues and north sides of 100-200 blocks on Princeton, Edgemont and Harvard avenues.

Fridays: Avenues A and B, south sides of Lehigh and Franklin avenues.

Residents are reminded to not rake leaves into the roadway. Leaves don’t have to be bagged, but should be left on the curb for easy pickup.
