A 14 year old Tamaqua male has been charged with retail theft following an Oct. 14 incident at the M and S Hardware Store on Broad Street.

According to the report, the teen entered the store around noon and proceeded to look at merchandise. At one point, he took a Carhart hooded sweatshirt and placed it on his person. After removing the tags, he attempted to leave the store without making payment.A store employee witnessed the action, stopped the teen and contacted police.
