A Monroe County man is facing additional charges following an incident about 9:09 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, along Rolling Hills Drive/Lakeside, in the K&K section of A Pocono Country Place.

Pocono Mountain Regional police report officers on patrol at the above stated area made contact with Joseph Maldonado, 22, of Tobyhanna. Maldonado had an active warrant issued to Pocono police for identity theft. Maldonado provided officers with a false name in an attempt to avoid being arrested.He was taken into custody for the warrant and for false ID. While being arrested a search of his person revealed a plastic straw with a white powder residue. Additional charges of false ID and possession of drug paraphernalia wll be filed, police said.
