Tamaqua marketing class holds White Out Hunger food drive

The Tamaqua Area High School's senior Marketing class, in conjunction with the Salvation Army, is organizing a canned food drive to help needy families in the area.

On Thursday, Nov. 5, students of the Tamaqua High School Marketing class will be holding a community drop-off in the high school lobby from 9-10 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. Members of the community can bring unexpired canned goods or boxes of dried food. All donations will stay within the Schuylkill - Carbon county area during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. On Friday, Nov. 6, the Marketing class will be accepting donations at the Tamaqua-Marian football game through the "Four cans for free football" promotion. The promotion is available to anyone who brings four canned goods or boxes of dried food to the ticket window, granting free admission. Football fans can help white out hunger by wearing white to the game.To learn more aboutthis project or to volunteer contact Ann Lagowy,Marketing Advisor, alagowy@tamaqua.k12.pa.us.
