A man who fell and injured himself in Tamaqua last Sunday has been cited.

Police were dispatched to the Tamaqua Area Community Ambulance station, on North Railroad Street, to assist medical personnel with a man found at the rear of the station.Charles Hess, 54, of 115 W. Rowe St., Tamaqua, had apparently fallen and cut his face. Hess was found to be highly intoxicated. After his cuts were treated, he was taken into custody and lodged in a cell for several hours.He was then cited for public drunkenness and released.
