The Tamaqua Area High School Music Department presented a "Sounds of the Holidays" music program Thursday evening at the Tamaqua Area Auditorium.

The program featured the Jazz Chorale and Concert Choir, the Wind Ensemble and the 'Raider' Concert Band.John Buglio directed the Concert Choir and the Jazz and Concert Chorale. The Wind Ensemble and 'Raider" concert band was directed by John F. Potlunas and Andy M. Jasinski. Accompanists were Drew Bonner, Julian Gerace, Steven Moyer, Erin Raymond, Emily Zancofsky, and Steven Christ.At the end of the program, band director Potlunas presented senior Bergen Bowe with the 2009 Michelle J. Potlunas Gift of Giving Award.
