The Mountain Valley Conference honored its fall sports scholar-athletes during a luncheon at the Pleasant Valley School District Administration Center. The athletes as well as their coaches and parents were in attendance. Honored were, from left, Tim Sulzer of Lehighton (football), Alyssa Kennedy of East Stroudsburg-North (girls' cross country), Mark Brooks of Pocono Mt. West (golf), John Favini of East Stroudsburg-South (boys' cross country), Neena Black of East Stroudsburg-North (field hockey), Deborah Pacella of Stroudsburg (girls' tennis), Molly Harleman of Lehighton (girls' volleyball) and Matt Poorman of Stroudsburg (boys' soccer).
