Two robbery suspects arrested

Two suspects wanted for a armed robbery in Philadelphia were nabbed by Pocono Mountian Regional police over the past weekend.

Erik Lasalle, 28, and Michael Lasalle, 28, both of Philadelphia, were taken into custody on Sunday, Nov. 29, about 11:30 p.m. in a vehicle parked behind the Interstate Exxon station along SR115 in Blakeslee.According to Pocono police detectives from the Philadelphia police department notified them regarding a robbery that had occurred in the city in which the suspect impersonated a police officer and robbed an individual at gunpoint in South Philadelphia during the previous week. City police provided additional information concerning the robbery and with it Pocono officers located a suspect car at the above stated location.Found in the car were the two suspects asleep. The driver matched the description provide by city police. The vehicle was registered to an address near where the robbery had occurred, it was noted. A search of the two suspects was conducted.Found in the vehicle was a blackjack under the passenger front seat. Also found on the dashboard was a cellular phone which matched the description of a phone stolen in the Philadelphia incident.Pocono officers took the two into custody and charged them with receiving stolen property and prohibitive offensive weapon. The car was impounded and towed to police headquarters pending a search warrant.
