Area casino cited by liquor board

An area casino has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.
Mount Airy Casino Resort, 44 Woodland Rd., Mt. Pocono, Paradise Township, Monroe County, was cited for sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a minor. The violation occurred Nov. 21- 22, according to the liquor board.
The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
