A stolen 1998 Mazda pick up truck has been recovered through the efforts of Tamaqua and state police.

The truck was recovered on March 20 in a mountainous area in Walker Township. The vehicle is owned by Albert Schwartz, of 312 Pine St., Tamaqua.

Anyone with information concerning the theft is asked to contact police at (570) 668-6100 or 668-5000.

Rush Township police responded March 17 to a domestic dispute at a home on Clarryan Street in Hometown.

This resulted in the arrest of Joseph P. Kmetz, 42, of Hometown, who was charged with simple assault and harassment.

He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Anthony Kilker, Shenandoah, and lodged in the Schuylkill County prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Charges were filed against Anthony Seo, 28, of 1345 Hazlewood Road, Palmerton, for fleeing or attempting to elude police, terroristic threats, DUI, and numerous traffic violations.

The incident occurred on Feb. 12 at 2:37 a.m. in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

Charges were filed against Kyle Becker, 36, of 583 Mauch Chunk Road, Apt. C, Palmerton, for DUI. The incident occurred on Feb. 23 at 4:22 a.m. on the Lafayette Extension.

State police at Frackville are investigating a theft report in New Ringgold, Schuylkill County.

Brenda Pensyl, of 308 E. Railroad Ave., reported someone stole a white plastic pool ladder from her backyard. The ladder is valued at $150.

The theft occurred sometime between 8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 19, and 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Lansford police have arrested Aaron Elliott Wilkins, 59, of 5 E. High St. Coaldale. Wilkins was charged as a fugitive from justice by Officer Christopher Ondrus as a result of an incident which took place on March 9 at 9:14 a.m. on W. Patterson Street in Lansford. Wilkins was arraigned before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek of Lansford and committed to prison under $50,000 bail, where he is awaiting extradition.

A Coaldale man faces drunken driving and other charges.

Scott Ferryman, 38, of 127 E. Phillips St., second floor, faces two counts of driving under the influence (DUI), driving without a license, and failing to lower his high beams.

Coaldale police Officer Joseph Krebs stopped Ferryman at 2:11 a.m. Feb. 26 at Route 209 and Fifth Street after Ferryman failed to lower his high beams while attempting to pass the patrol car.

Lehighton police reported on the following arrests.

Daniel Stockton, 24, of 7072 St. Peters Rd., Macungie, was cited for criminal mischief after smashing out the back window of a vehicle parked in the Rite Aid pharmacy parking lot along N. First St. The incident occurred on Saturday, March 17, about 2:33 a.m.

Two 13-year-old Lehighton males were both cited for disorderly conduct after engaging in a fight inside the Lehighton Area School District Middle School. The incident took place on Friday, March 16, about 7:10 a.m.

A Carbon County driver was cited following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 2:17 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, along Lyon Valley Road in Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County. It was one of two crashes reported by state police at Fogelsville.

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a criminal mischief incident at a Carbon County business.

Troopers said someone threw a rock through the first floor side window of L'antico & Caffe, located at 4 Danner Road, in Penn Forest Township, and damaged the window, screen and blinds. The incident occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Saturday, March 17, and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.
