A vehicle stop by Pocono Mountain Regional police has led to charges of driving under the influence (DUI) and drug-related offenses.

Police said a vehicle was stopped about 11:58 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, along SR196 in Coolbaugh Township. The driver was identified as Thomas Weisbrod, 19, of Reeders. Also in the vehicle were two juvenile males.

When police asked if there was anything illegal in the car one of the juveniles produced a marijuana pipe.

A search of the vehicle was conducted and found was a plastic zip lock baggy containing a small amount of marijuana.

A Tamaqua man is facing felony theft charges after allegedly misusing his former employer's company credit card.

Thomas Drum, 38, also faces charges of receiving stolen proeprty and access device fraud in connection with the incident.

Drum was reportedly employed by Seitz Brothers, Hometown, during the period in question.

Drum allegedly made unathorized purchases in the amount of $2,564.85.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a burglary and theft incident that occurred in Schuylkill County.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Michael Putnam, of 8 Fidler Court, Bernville, Pine Grove Township. Removed from the home was a Mosberg 20 gauge rifle and a Hoyt Cybertech compound bow. The incident occurred sometime between Sept. 1, 2011, and Jan. 25, troopers said.

A McAdoo man was arrested on Feb. 7 after police learned he was wanted in Kentucky in connection with a robbery.

McAdoo police were searching for a 15-year-old runaway from Hazleton and discovered she had been staying at 32 S. Harrison St., possibly since she was reported missing in September 2011.

Officers went to the Harrison Street address and did find the missing teen. Also found was David Paul Wolfe, 26, who was wanted in Kentucky on charges of robbery and receiving stolen property.

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 11:38 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, along Burger Hollow Road, north of SR209, in Polk Township.

State police at Lehighton said Scott R. Branley, 26, of East Stroudsburg, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He was found to be under the influence and admitted to having a small amount of marijuana in the center console of his pickup truck. The marijuana was seized.

Branley was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana, troopers said.

A Schuylkill County woman is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of a minor for allegedly supplying illegal drugs to a juvenile.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Marisol Viera, of 60 Schuylkill St., Cressona, allegedly provided a 16-year-old juvenile from Sinking Spring, Berks County, with marijuana and then smoked it with her while upstairs inside her residence.

The incident occurred between 5 p.m., Jan. 15 and 9 p.m., Jan. 16, troopers said.

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a theft from vehicle incident.

Troopers said the vehicle of Mariah Lee Nilan, 19, of Tobyhanna, became disabled along Jackson Road, just south of Hypsie Gap Road, in Jackson Township, Monroe County, about 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8. Sometime up to 7:34 p.m., unknown criminals shattered the passenger side window with a rock. Removed from the the vehicle were multiple items including a tattoo kit, clothing, comic books, registration and insurance identification cards, a Ford Mustang center hubcap and state registration plate HKH-5709.

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a scattering of rubbish incident.

Troopers said during the period of Feb. 4 at 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. on Feb. 5, unknown persons deposited about 50 boxes alongside a dumpster to the rear of Bagel Experience located in the West End Plaza in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said the names and addresses on the boxes were burned off, however, tracking information from the boxes was obtained.

The investigation into the incident is continuing, troopers added.

State police at Lehighton reported the arrest of two teens from New Jersey in connection with theft incidents at a Carbon County ski resort. The thefts occurred at the Blue Mountain Ski Area in Lower Towamensing Township.

Troopers said a 17-year-old male from Bridgetown, N.J., and a 16-year-old male from Greenwich were arrested in connection with two theft incidents.

The 17-year-old was charged for a Jan. 22 incident when he was found in possession of a stolen set of skis. The skis were valued at $350. The skis are the property of Jared Andrew Parker, of Nazareth.

Two Schuylkill County residents have been charged in connection with theft incidents. One of the suspects is in custody while the other is at-large.

State police at Frackville identified the two as Donald E. Funk, 23, and Mark Metrick, 28, both who last resided in Shenandoah.
