State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary at a Monroe County residence. Troopers also reported on theft and mischief incident.

The break-in occurred at the home of Marvin Branch, 41, of 206 Lake Rd., in Saylorsburg, Hamilton Township. Two large flat screen televisions were removed from the home sometime between July 26 and Saturday, July 31.

State police at Lehighton are investigating a drive-by shooting incident that occurred in Monroe County.

Troopers said a 22-year-old male from Olyphant, Lackawanna County, reported he suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was walking along Polk Township Road in Polk Township, about 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, when the shot was fired from a passing vehicle. The wound was not life-threatening, troopers said.

No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Schuylkill County.

The crash occurred as a 2004 Ford Focus, driven by Jacqueline A. Serrano, 50, of Barnesville, attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Seven Stars Road, directly across from the entrance to the Cressona Mall off SR61 in North Manheim Township.

Serrano failed to yield to oncoming traffic and her vehicle was struck by a 1983 Ford F150 operated by Scott A. Miller, 37, of Auburn, which had been traveling north on SR61 in the passing lane.

A Schuylkill County man was picked up on an outstanding warrant over the past weekend.

State police at Frackville said John Guman Jr., 48, of Girardville, was spotted about 8:35 p.m. on Friday, July 30, at the intersection of SR54 and N. West St., in Shenandoah. Troopers recognized him and knew there was a warrant of his arrest issued to MInersville police for indecent assault.

Troopers took Guman into custody and later transferred him to Minersville police.

State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of two bicycles from a Schuylkill County residence.

Troopers said unknown criminals opened a storage door located under the residence of Jeffrey Earl Donatti, 34, of 15 Silver Creek Rd., in Blythe Township, and removed two Dynacraft boys bikes. The theft occurred sometime between July 22 and 30.

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a three-vehicle crash about 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, along SR61 a tenth of a mile south of University Drive, in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said vehicles operated by Mark Terry Paine, 39, of Kutztown, Sarah R. Lewis, 49, of Auburn, and James E. Kohler, 60, of Hamburg, were northbound in the left lane. Troopers said Lewis stopped behind Kohler while Paine was unable to stop.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a theft incident at a Schuylkill County business.

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating the theft of a all terrain vehicle (ATV) in Monroe County.

Troopers said the ATV was stolen from the property of Chestnuthill Trailers, located along SR115, in Effort, Chestnuthill Township. Unknown criminals entered the property and removed a 2008 Polaris Outlaw 525S, white in color. The theft occurred sometime between July 22 and 28.

A traffic stop led to the arrest of the teen driver on drug charges.

State police at Lehighton said the stop was made along Mill Pond Rd. at SR209, in Polk Township, Monroe County, about 7:33 p.m. on Thursday, July 29. At the stop the 16-year-old male from Saylorsburg was found to have drug paraphernalia in his possession. The charge will be filed with the Monroe County Juvenile Probation Office, troopers said.

State police at Lehighton reported on two crashes investigated by troopers this week on Monroe County roads.

A crash occurred about 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, along Lower Smith Gap Road, in Eldred Township. Troopers said Timothy D. Larkin, 38, of Kunkletown, was eastbound in a 2007 Saturn Ion when he failed to negotiate a right curve. The vehicle traveled southeast off the road and struck a tree. Upon impact the car spun 270-degrees in a clockwise direction and into the eastbound lane where it came to rest facing north.
