Two criminal mischief incidents that happened in Penn Forest Township are being investigated by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.

The first case happened between 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The victim is Palver Payne, 50, of Albrightsville.

Police said someone threw between 100 and 200 nails in the victim's driveway at 18 Geiger Lane, Valley View Estates.

The second case happened bewteen 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. The victim is the Valley View Estates Property Owners Association, Albrightsville.

A Tamaqua man has been cited after an alleged confrontation with his ex-girfriend Thursday morning.

Officers were dispatched to 398 W. Cottage Ave. at 12:32 a.m. to deal with a male who had reportedly assualted a woman and then threatened to harm himself. At the scene, oficers found Scott Evan George, 36, walking down the steps from the residence. The initial report cautioned the suspect was possibly armed with a knife, which was later found inside the residence.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating a harassment case in which a New Tripoli man is the victim.

Police said Kenneth Dengler of New Tripoli reported he has received numerous unwanted and annoying letters from an anonymous person. The incidents happened on July 8 and 14 and Aug. 30.

Police said an arrest is anticipated.

Summit Hill police have had their hands full lately.

On Aug. 30 at 9:16 p.m., police saw people in Ludlow Park who had previously been warned the park closes at 9 p.m. in summer. They cited Arielle Dolena, 19, of 220 W. Columbus Ave., Nesquehoning, with violating borough park ordinance.

On Aug. 16 at 11:38 p.m., police were called to an East Holland Street house on a report of a mirror being smashed on a parked vehicle. A person had been seen smashing the mirror, but was gone when police arrived. The investigation of that matter is continuing.

Two Cressona residents were arrested for retail theft on Tuesday after loss prevention employees of the Boscov's Department Store caught them shoplifting at the company's Fairlane Village Mall store in Schuylkill County. The incident happened at 9:09 p.m.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Anthony Joseph Gasbarra, 19, and Bradley Adam Hartranft, 18, were cited after they were seen attempting to steal clothing items from the store.

Seven persons were injured, one seriously, in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday at 10:29 a.m. on State Route 100, just north of Lyon Valley Road, in Lowhill Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said Anne Lehman, 76, of Sugarloaf, sustained serious internal injuries in the crash, which is still under investigation. She was the driver of one of the vehicles.

An Albrightsville man faces charges after being arrested in an alleged drunken driving incident in Coaldale.

Michael Robert Searfoss, 23, of 410 Pocono Road, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance and restriction on alcoholic beverages.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Officer Charles A. Blesse, here's what happened: At 4:37 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, Blesse was on patrol in the borough when he saw a blue Ford Explorer parked at Soberick's Garage, facing Route 209 west, with the headlights and brake lights on.

The driver involved in a one vehicle crash in Monroe County is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI)

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers were dispatched to a crash about 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, along SR115 near Kuhenbeaker Rd., in Blakeslee. Police said Tabatha M. Lopez, 22, of Blakeslee, was driving a 1998 Saturn that left the northbound lane and struck a tree along the berm.

A Schuylkill County resident was jailed early Sunday morning for assaulting a young girl. State police at Frackville said the incident occurred about 12:40 a.m. outside 33 S. Main St., Shenandoah.

Troopers on patrol observed a male grabbing a young female and putting her in a choke hold while forcing her into a parking lot. Troopers took the male into custody and identified him as Artemio Santis-Cruz, 24, of Shenandoah. Troopers said he resisted them when they attempted to take him into custody.

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a criminal mischief incident.

Kristina Osmulski, 31, of 8 Pawnee Trail, Mt. Pocahontas, Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, reported someone threw a rock through the front window of her home. The incident occurred sometime between Aug. 12-26.
