The next of kin of a Allentown woman is being sought by the Lehigh County coroner's office.

Barbara Schreier, 68, of 1029 North St., died on Monday, June 6, at her residence. She died of natural causes, the coroner ruled.

Anyone with family information for Ms. Schreier is asked to call the coroner's office at (610( 782-3426.

A New York state resident is facing charges following a shooting incident in Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, troopers responded to an area along Shafer Drive, in Polk Township. As a result of an investigation troopers said Jason Robert Jaure, 23, of Brentwood, was charged with several counts of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.

State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of car rims from a property outside Tamaqua.

Troopers said four aluminum car rims were removed from the property of Walter Noel, 91 Pebble Lane, Walker Township. The incident occurred sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, and 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

A Monroe County man was jailed this week for violating the conditions of a protection from abuse (PFA) order.

State police at Fern Ridge said Raymond Ianuale, 49, of Saylorsburg, followed Lucrezia Ann Azzolini, 45, of East Stroudsburg, to a friend's house along Evergreen Hollow Rd., in Effort, Chestnuthill Township, on Wednesday, June 1, about 9:15 p.m. When she left the friend's home Ianuale attempted to follow her again. Troopers said the PFA order prohibits Ianuale from stalking or harassing Azzolini.

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating the theft of copper tubing from a home in Monroe County.

Troopers said a residence located along SR209 in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, was entered through a basement window. Once inside the criminals removed all the copper tubing in the basement. The incident occurred sometime between Monday, May 30, and Thursday, June 2.

A man wanted by authorities in Maryland was arrested in Carbon County following a vehicle stop.

State police at Fern Ridge said Brian Mark Chapman, 40, of Crofton, was stopped for speeding about 10:50 a.m. on May 27 along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.

A check revealed Crofton was wanted in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, on two active felony warrants.

He was taken into custody on the fugitive warrants. Troopers said he will also be charged with speeding and driving without a license.

State police at Lehighton reported investigating an attempted burglary and theft incidents.

The attempted break-in occurred at the residence of Suzanne Daigneault, 45, of Meadow Drive, Effort, Polk Township, Monroe County. Entry was gained by cutting a window screen to the rear of the home. When the criminal removed the screen it activated the alarm system which caused the intruder to flee.

An attempted burglary and a theft incident were probed by state police at Lehighton.

The attempted break-in occurred at the home of Eric Watson, 35, of Blue Ridge Rd., in Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County. Unknown criminals attempted to gain entry to the home by cutting a screen on a window. No entry occurred. The incident occurred sometime between May 19-21.

State police at Lehighton are investigating a robbery and theft incident in Monroe County in which the victim was assaulted.

Troopers said the incident occurred at the JC Park along Molasses Valley Road in Eldred Township about 9:50 p.m. Monday, May 16.

A two vehicle crash occurred on SR895 at Summit Lane, West Brunswick Twp., Schuylkill County, at 10:50 a.m. on June 1.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred when Cynthia D. Svenson's, 45, of Auburn, driving a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, struck a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Leianne Cunningham Phillips', 50 of Hamburg, as she was attempting to make a right hand turn onto Summit Lane from 895.

Svenson had allegedly taken her eyes off the road to look at a house and failed to observe Phillips' turn signal.
