An 18-year-Tamaqua male suffered multiple injuries Monday night when he was a victim of a slashing.

Randy Lee James Gilson, 223 W. Rowe St., Tamaqua, was involved in an altercation with two 14-year-old males at 8:38 that evening. One of the youths allegedly pulled a knife and slashed Gilson's left arm and chin.

Gilson was transported to St. Luke's University Hospital-Coaldale Campus in the Tamaqua Area Community Ambulance.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the theft of a Coleman Power Mate generator from a Carbon County location.

Troopers said Rebecca Metzger, 30, of Germansville, reported the generator was removed from her property at 1166 Germans Road, in East Penn Township, sometime between April 12-13.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.

Mahoning Township police cited Olivia Rivera of Hazleton for retail theft at Walmart on Blakeslee Blvd., on April 14, 2012. The items taken were recovered, and valued at $132.05.

Also, on April 15, an unoccupied residence was broken into and vandalized on Pine Hollow Drive. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at (570) 386-2241.

State police at Lehighton reported on the following arrests made by troopers.

On Friday, April 13, about 6:20 a.m. troopers went to the home of James and Karen Deppen, 1108 Laurel Drive, in Ross Township, Monroe County, for a domestic incident.

Troopers allege that James Deppen struck Karen Deppen in the back and grabbed her in the neck area during a verbal argument. He left the home prior to the arrival of troopers.

Troopers said he had a charge of harassment filed against him.

Mahoning Township police are looking for a theft suspect following an incident at the Walmart store.

Police said about 1:35 a.m. on April 12 a male entered the store and took two laptop computers. He fled the store using the fire exit.

The same male entered the store on April 14 about 4:28 a.m. and took two more laptops. The vehicle involved appears to be a 1990s model Ford Mustang, police said.

A Monroe County man is facing multiple counts, including attempted rape, following an incident that occurred on Friday, April 14, at 8714 Country Place Drive, in A Pocono Country Place, in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township.

Pocono Mountain Regional police were dispatched to that address about 7:40 p.m. to a report of a naked male in the residence attempting to have sex with a 15-year-old female. The victim was able to flee the home and upon her return, she found the suspect in the home, still naked, and masturbating.

A Dauphin County motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash that occurred about 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, along Scwenks Road, near Gap School Road, in Hegins, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Kyle T. Yeagley, 27, of Gratz, was operating a 2005 Harley-Davidson XL883 southbound when, for unknown reasons, the bike left the road and traveled about 28 feet before striking a tree.

A Carbon County resident is facing criminal charges filed by state police and the state board of liquor control.

Yvonne L. Anthony, 51, of Kunkletown, has been charged with felony forgery, and misdemeanors counts of tampering with evidence and obstruction of administration of law.

According to police Anthony allegedly fabricated bank documents, falsely claiming a bank error was the cause of checks that were returned for the purchase of malt or brewed beverages in the course of her licensed liquor business, Palm Beverage in Palmerton.

A Delaware County resident has been charged with disorderly conduct for an incident in Kidder Township.

Township police said Marshall Zhang, 22, of Chadds Ford, was cited about 8:52 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at Split Rock Resort near the sport complex.
