State police at the Fogelsville barracks said they stopped a driver on Dec. 18 at 1:50 a.m. for a tinted window violation and subsequently made an arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The defendant is Christopher Poniktera, 35, of Emmaus.

Police said he was stopped along Route 29 in Lower Macungie Township, after which time police observed several signs of impairment due to intoxication on the driver.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a theft in which the victim is the Summit Station Fire Department.

Police said someone stole an orange Streamlight Survivor flashlight from the station at 67 Moyers Station Road, Washington Township.

The incident was reported at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 27.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between Dec, 1-11 at a home in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

The victim is Othmen A. Suqi, 47, of Wayne, N.J.

The home is located at 7 Eastbrook Road, Sun Valley. Police said someone smashed a basement and first floor window to gain entry to the home and proceeded to steal various hand tools and older electronic equipment (VCR, Dish Network boxes and a satellite receiver). The loss is estimated at $500.

Nathaniel A. Shoup, 19, of Shenandoah, has been arrested by state police at the Frackville barracks on a charge of harassment.

The charge stems from an altercation that happened around 5:50 p.m. Dec. 16 at 201 E. Main St., Ringtown.

It is alleged he and Joshua M. Edmondson, 30, of Ringtown, became involved in an altercation, during which time the accused struck Edmondson in the head.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating the theft of jewelry from a residence in Lynn Township.

The victim is Viola Henninger, 63, of 7016 Lentz Road, New Tripoli (Lynn Township).

Police said someone removed the jewelry from the victim's dresser. It is described as being an 18-inch, 14-karak gold herringbone necklane, a 24-inch, 14-karat gold chainlink necklace and a seven-inch, 14-karat golf flexible bangle bracelet.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said they cited Joseph Neumann Lutz of Fairless Hills on Dec. 16 for scattering rubbish.

Police said it is alleged the violation happened along Mertz Road, off Dotter's Corner Road, in Polk Township, on Dec. 4 at about 7 p.m.

Eric Woolbaugh, 24, of Orefield, was arrested by state police at the Fogelsville barracks for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at 1:06 a.m. Dec. 18.

Police said he was stopped for the traffic violations on State Route 222 in Upper Macungie Township, afetr which time police observed multuiple indicators of intoxication on the drive.

State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a criminal mischief incident whereby someone damaged property in Ross Township, Monroe County.

The victim is Alftred G. Moreton II, 1723 Faulstick Road, Saylorsburg.

He told police someone hit a fence post located at the end of his driveway.The incident happened between 10 p.m. Dec. 15 and 8 a.m. Dec. 16.

Jared Joel Dinger, 19, of Pine Grove, has been arrested by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks with driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a traffic stop at 9:14 p.m. Dec. 16 on Rt. 443 in Washington Township, Schuylkill County.

Police said he was stopped for speeding after which time they detected an odor of alcohol on him. After failing a field sobriety test, Dinger was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center, Pottsville, for a blood test to determine his BAC.

Three persons were injured in a two-vehicle crash Dec. 18 at 5:56 p.m. at the intersection of routes 715 and 493 in Jackson Township, Monroe County, according to state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.

Police said Alexis McNeese, 46, of Stroudsburg, the driver of one of the vehicles, and two of her passengers, David McNeese, 18, and Victoria McNeese, 12, were taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, after the crash. The severity of their injuries was not known at the time, police said.
