Nesquehoning police chief Sean Smith reported on the following arrests he made.

Rexvalore Ellison, 14 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, has been charged with retail theft, driving under suspension, expired inspection sticker, and expired registration plate. Ellison was arrested after Smith was called to the Dollar General Store on Sept. 19. Ellison allegedly stole a tracphone and jewelry.

Jerry Zemlan, 206 W. Water St., Lansford, was cited for retail theft for an incident on Sept. 28 at the Top Star service station. He allegedly stole a pack of cigarettes.

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) and also a drug arrests, all stemming from vehicle stops.

About 2:45 a.m .on Sunday, Oct. 24, officers on patrol observed the driver of a Nissan Altima commit vehicle code violations. A traffic stop was made and the driver identified as Steevn Gonzalez-Rosales, 23, of Tobyhanna. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.

Three persons were arrested following an incident in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on Friday, Oct. 22, officers responded to 1831 Fairhaven Drive, in A Pocono Country Place, in Tobyhanna, to assist police from Newark, N.J., in serving a fugitive from justice warrant. They were attempting to serve papers on Shaquan M. Johnson, who was wanted for aggravated assault, possession of weapons and other charges stemming from a shooting in Newark. Newark police had received information that Johnson was residing at the above= stated address.

Jim Thorpe are investigating a luring of a child incident.

Police said a white male in his 50s allegedly tried to lure two juveniles into his vehicle. The incident occurred in the area of Leisure Lane on Monday, Oct. 25, about 4:30 p.m.

The male was reportedly driving a gray Cadillac. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at (570) 325-4995.

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 3:10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, along Condor Lane, in Cass Township.

A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), following an incident that occurred about 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26, along SR895, a tenth of a mile west of Fort Lebanon Road, in Auburn.

Nesquehoning police reported the arrest of a borough resident for theft and receiving stolen property charges.

Officer Timothy Wuttke filed the charges against Jaden Diacheysn, 24 N. Allen St. Wuttke received a report from Joan Diacheysn that her gold bracelet was stolen in the beginning of September. Through an investigation the officer learned that the bracelet was sold to a Nick Cuono in Nesquehoning.

The bracelet was recovered and the charges were filed against Diacheysn on Tuesday, Oct. 26.

Two Summit Hill residents were cited following an incident in the borough.

According to Summit Hill police, on Oct. 24, at 9:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of 243 E. Hazard St., for persons fighting.

When they arrived, officers found Robert Scott, 55, of 243 E. Hazard St., and Ashley Orach, 24, of 10 S. Pine St., Summit Hill, outside arguing.

Scott and Orach were cited for disorderly conduct.

A Summit Hill man was arrested after an assault allegedly took place at his residence.

According to Summit Hill police, on Oct. 25, at 10:08 p.m., police were called to 404 W. Ludlow St., for a domestic dispute.

At the scene, officers took Jon Lynn, 30, of 404 W. Ludlow St., into custody without incident. He was charged with simple assault and harassment for an alleged assault that occurred.

Lynn was arraigned before District Magistrate Kosciolek and put under $2,500 straight cash bail and sent to Carbon County prison in lieu of bail.
