Mary Hill, 41, of 366 W. Bertsch St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place at 2:54 p.m. Sept. 23 at Water and Centre streets. Charges of three counts of driving under the influence (DUI), possession of a controlled substance, and careless driving were filed by borough Officer Jason Helmer.

According to an affidavit of probable cause:

Officer Chris Ondrus took a report of unauthorized use of an automobile from Mae Fredericks, who reported that her daughter, Mary Robyn Hill, had taken her 2000 Ford Taurus without permission and had not returned.

State police at Lehighton reported on the following arrests made by troopers.

Troopers said James Calven Robbins Jr., 38, of Polk Township, Monroe County, has been charged with harassment. Troopers allege that Robbins threatened Wendy Sue Robbins, 38, of Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, and William T. Johnson Jr., 44, of Penn Forest Township. The incident occurred about 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, along Grassy Lane, in Polk Township.

Brian Dennis, 34, 370 W. Snyder Ave., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place at 1:58 p.m. Sept. 2 on W. Patterson Street. Charges of persistent disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and scattering rubbish were filed by Officer Jason Helmer.

James Acevedo, 44, of 123 W. Blaine St., Apt. 2G, McAdoo, faces charges from an incident which took place at 7:13 p.m. Oct. 23, 2010, on SR902, in Lansford. Charges of two counts of driving under the influence (DUI), endangering the welfare of children, reckless driving, careless driving, driving vehicle at safe speed, and driving on roadways laned for traffic were filed by Officer Jason Helmer.

A Tamaqua area man was jailed over the weekend on assault and related charges.

State police at Frackville said Justin James Chickilly, of 63 Fawn Lane, Walker Township, was arraigned early Saturday, Jan. 7, before duty District Judge James Reiley, of Pottsville, on charges of simple assault, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint and harassment. He failed to post $25,000 percentage bail set by Reiley and was committed to the county prison.

A hit-and-run driver is being sought in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Amber Leigh Delong, 22, of Pottsville, was operating a 1999 Subaru Legacy eastbound on Valley Road, in Cass Township, about 11:10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, when a vehicle traveling westbound crossed the center line and sideswiped her vehicle.

After impact the other driver continued west without stopping. Delong was not injured with damages moderate to the driver's side of the Subaru. The hit and run vehicle is believed to be a dark colored Ford Explorer, troopers said.

A Schuylkill County driver fled police but later turned himself into authorities. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident began about 11:35 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, along SR209 near Rausch Creek Road, in Tremont Township.

Troopers attempted to stop a 1993 Subaru Legacy at that location for a license plate violation. The driver refused to stop and turned right onto E. Franklin St. The pursuit continued into the village of Donaldson and entered on a dirt road off Fountain Road, in Frailey Township. The vehicle was found unattended off Middle Creek Road.

State police at Lehighton are investigating a theft incident.

Daniel Angione, 57, of Bloomsbury, N.J., reported someone stole two rain gutters from his property located at the intersection of state routes 534 and 209, in Polk Township, Monroe County. The theft occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Jan. 5 and 4;51 p.m. on Jan. 6.

A Monroe County business was the victim of a burglary that occurred on Friday. It was one of several burglaries and theft incidents probed by state police at Fern Ridge.

Troopers said about 7:19 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, unknown criminals threw a cement block through the front double pane glass window at the AT&T store located in the Regency Plaza, along SR209, in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township. Once inside the criminals removed six iPhones and two Bluetooth accessories.
