State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating the theft of a registration plate in the Eldo Lakes development, Polk Township, Monroe County.

The incident was reported to have happened on Dec. 4.

The victim is a 53-year-old male. Police said he notices the plate was removed from a trailer at his property. The plate bears the registration XFR-7822.

Christine M. Powers, 22, of Albrightsville, sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash Dec. 23 at 6:38 a.m. on Stony Mountain Road in Penn Forest Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said she was driving a 2007 Kia Rondo northbound when she failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway. The vehicle traveled into the woods and struck a tree before coming to rest.

The West End Ambulance responded.

Police said the driver will be cited as a result of the crash.

James R. Adkins, 40, of Indianapolis, Ind., was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville following his arraignment on Dec. 26 after an incident in Cressona.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said he was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after the incident at 10:13 p.m. at 161 Railroad Street.

Police said the victim is Laura M. Adkins, 38, of Cressona.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Matthew P. McTiernan, 23, of Frackville, sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle crash Dec. 19 at 1 a.m. on Ridge Road in Union Township, Schuylkill County.

Police said he was transported to the Pottsville Hospital in a private vehicle.

He was driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty south on Ridge Road and was rounding a curve when he was distracted with his car radio. The vehicle left the roadway, traveled into a wooded area along the west side of the road and struck a large rock and tree before coming to rest.

State police at the Frackville barracks are trying to locate Stephenie Knorr, 23, of Frackville, for whom a felony warrant exists as a result of a shoplifting incident that happened at the Sears store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township.

Police said the incident happened at 3:15 Dec. 1, after Knorr removed various items for sale from the store. She was confronted by the store's loss prevention personnel, although Knorr was able to get to her vehicle and flee the scene.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating the theft of a washing machine from a property at 2501 Golden Key Road, Weisenberg Township.

The incident happened between 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Dec. 21.

The victim is Leroy Hahn, 25, of Weisenberg Township.

Randy Jo Whiteman, 30, of Lehighton, is facing several charges as a result of two incidents between 9:50 and 11:30 p.m. Dec. 24.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said he was driving a 1989 Buick sedan that crashed into a ditch at the intersection of Rt. 895 and West Bowmans Road in East Penn Township.

Police said he then arrived at his residence along Lower Nis Hollow Drive in the township and assaulted a male resident.

Police said he will be arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, summary Motor Vehicle Code violations and harassment.

State police at the Frackville barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between 5:30 and 9:15 p.m. Dec. 25 at a home in Gilberton.

The victim is Randy Jarred Ratliff, 39, of 1406 Railroad St.

He told police someone arrived at his home in an unknown manner, possibly on foot, and pried open a locked rear sliding door to the premises. Once inside, the actor(s) unplugged and removed a Panasonic Vieta Model TC-P50S2 plasma TV and an entertainment center set from on top of a stand, and left the structure through a rear door.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said a son and father, both from Port Clinton, were imprisoned after a fight they had on Christmas Eve at the father's home in Port Clinton.

As a result of the melee, Codey Himmelberger, 22, and Bradley Himmelberger, 41, were committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said a 1996 Jeep Cherokee that was stolen in Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County, was involved in a crash in which the investigation remains open.

Police said the victim is Heather Mae Wickett, 2103 Independent Drive, Breinigsville.

Police said the vehicle was reported stolen between 4:30-11:30 p.m. Nov. 27.
