A Lehigh County woman is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 9:57 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, at the corner of Adams St. and Jefferson Court, in Lynn Township.

State police at Fogelsville said Lisa Rice, 46, of New Tripoli, was at the above-stated location causing a disturbance. She was told to stop shouting but refused. She was intoxicated and when troopers attempted to handcuff her she struggled with them.

A parent was cited for being drunk at a Schuylkill County school.

State police at Frackville said John P. Dankulich, 55, of Brockton, arrived at the Tamaqua Area Middle School in Walker Township, on Monday, May 2, about 9 a.m. to pick up his son regarding a medical condition. School staff observed that Dankulich appeared to be under the influence and called troopers.

Rush Township police cited two people for retail theft incidents at the Hometown Commons Walmart store last week.

Candace Bylinski, of Reading was charged following an April 25 incident. She allegedly tried to remove $68.30 worth of Sharpie markers from the store.

On April 27, at 3:25 p.m., Sean A. Hedgepeth, of West Hazleton, was stopped after attempting to remove $10.60 worth of merchandise from the store. When taking Hedgepeth into custody officers discovered a small amount of marijuana in his boots. He will be cited for retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Monroe County business was robbed early today.

State police at Fern Ridge said unknown criminals broke the glass on the front door of Rizzo's Pizza, located in Liberty Plaza, along SR209, in Chestnuthill Township.

The criminals removed an undetermined amount of cash from the business.

The incident occurred about 3:40 a.m. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.

State police at Lehighton reported on two harassment incidents probed by troopers.

On Saturday, April 30, about 11:15 a.m. troopers were called to Family Motors in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for an altercation. Troopers said Gary A. Grauvogel, 48, and Adam C. Ash, 30, both of Lehighton, were involved in a verbal altercation over the installation of tires. It turned physical when Ash allegedly choked and slapped Grauvogel.

Ash was cited for harassment, troopers said.

State police at Lehighton reported on burglaries, thefts and an act of criminal mischief investigated by troopers recently.

The residence of Jennifer Solt, 36, of 135 Main St., Parryville, was entered through an unlocked door. Removed was a 46-inch Vizio television from the living room. The burglary was reported at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, April 29.

A Slatington driver is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 12:47 a.m. on Sunday, May 1, along W. Church Street.

Borough police said as the result of the traffic stop Beth Schmoyer, 26, of 2633 Lehigh St., is facing charges of driving under the influence (DUI), resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, harassment, careless driving, and failure to drive on the right side of the road.

Jim Thorpe police reported on the following arrests.

On Saturday, April 16, about 9:01 p.m. police were dispatched to the Molly Maguire's Pub & Steakhouse at 5 Hazard Square, for a disturbance. Upon arrival officers found Bruce Emerson Killinger III, 25, of 70 Texas Eastern Rd., in Shermans Dale, Perry County, manifestly under the influence of alcohol. While speaking to Killinger he continued to cause a disturbance after being advised several times to cease and desist.

State police at Frackville are investigating the death of a white male.

Troopers said the body of the male was found in a remote location behind the Pottsville Materials property at 2 Darkwater Rd., in New Castle Township, on Thursday, April 28.

The male is believed to be 50-60 years old. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death, troopers said.

A Monroe County woman is facing charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), following an incident that occurred about 2:01 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Cynthia Driscoll, 31, of Pocono Summit, was stopped along SR940 at Interstate 380 in Pocono Summit after being obsered driving erratically.

While speaking with Driscoll officers observed baggies of marijuana and a smoking device inside the vehicle. She was also under the influence of alchohol, police said.
