A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges after he left the scene of an accident.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Joseph Noraka, 25, of Barnesville, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on SR443 (Suedberg Road), in Pine Grove, about 4:45 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 1, when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled off the road and onto the south berm. The vehicle traveled along the berm for about 160 feet, going over some small brush before going down a slight embankment and becoming stuck.

State police at Frackville reported on several crashes probed by troopers along Schuylkill County roadways.

Troopers said a crash occurred about 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, along Coal Street, Blythe Township, just east of SR209. Troopers said Monica N. Mishoe, 22, of Cumbola, was driving a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am was westbound when her vehicle was struck by a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven Barbara A. Yenelavage, 55, of Cumbola.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said David Beesley, 54, of Auburn, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a one-car crash Dec. 30 at 11:30 p.m. on State Route 895 in South Manheim Township, Schuylkill County.

Police said he was driving a 2009 Ford Fusion eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle.

It began to turn counter-clockwise acorss both lanes, traveled onto the north berm and rolled onto its roof, traveling abother 90 feet along the north berm embanknent before coming to rest.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks responded to a hit-and-run accident on Dec, 31 at 1:15 a.m., later arresting a man for driving under the influence of drugs.

A one-car accident that happened at 8:10 p.m. Dec. 27 on Route 25 in Hubley Township, Schuylkill County, was investigated by state police at the Frackville barracks.

Police said Gregg I. Morgan, 36, of Sacramento, Pa., was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer west on the roadway when the airbags deployed causing him to not be able to see the roadway.

Police said the car traveled onto the north berm and struck a pole guy wire and grazed a utility pole with the left front end.

Morgan was not injured.

A Mahoning Township man has been cited with trespass after entering Wal-Mart Supercenter property after being barred from being there.

Joshua Frey, 22, of the 1300 block of Orioles Drive, was also charged with resisting arrest and recklessly endangering another person after the Dec. 23 incident.

Police Chief Kenneth Barnes reported that at 6:02 p.m., police were dispatched to the store for a report of a male who was trespassing in the store and was fleeing the store.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating criminal mischief incidents involving spray-painting damage caused in Tremont.

Police said a car was spray-painted between 5 p.m. Dec. 28 and 5:45 a.m. Dec. 29. The victim, Rachel Lynn Rumph, 29, told police someone sprayed red paint on her yellow 2005 Ford Focus while it was parked at the rear of her residence at 16 S. Ferg St.

Two persons were injured in a crash Dec. 29 at 4:28 p.m. at the intersection of route 901 and 209 in Norweigan Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Kevin Tribble, 40, of Minersville, and Albert Ondeck, 43, of Pottsville, were hurt in the crash.

Police said Tribble was driving a 1992 Ford Explorer north on Route 209 and attempted to turn left onto Route 901 when the vehicle was struck by a 2001 Hyundai Accent operated by Ondeck. The latter was eastbound on Route 901 at the time.

George Blauer, 42, of Wilkes-Barre, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a traffic stop Dec. 28 at 11:20 p.m. on Route 940 in Tobyhanna Township.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police report he was stopped for multiple Motor Vehicle Code violations, after which time police detected a strong odor of alcohol on him, as well as witnessing other signs of intoxication. Police said he failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, where he submitted to a blood test to determine his blood-alcohol level.
