Paul Garcia II, 25, 6943 Weiss Road, Apt. 1, New Tripoli, and Marcus Vought, 25, 50 W. Ridge St., Apt. 3R, Lansford, face charges from an incident which took place 10:25 p.m. March 14 at 249 E. Patterson St.

Felony charges of criminal trespass and conspiracy to commit burglary against both men were filed by Officer Joshua Tom. Vought is charged with an additional crime of possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were arraigned before District Judge Edward Lewis of Jim Thorpe and committed to prison.

State police at Fern Ridge reported on a one vehicle crash that occurred about 8:48 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, along the entrance ramp to Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Priscilla E. Mendoza, 18, of Cresco, was driving a 2003 Hyundai Elantra on the ramp when she failed to negotiate a right turn. Her car crossed the opposite lane and struck an embankment along the berm.

Mendoza was not injured. She was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Lehighton Police Department filed charges on a 15-year-old Lehighton area male juvenile for possessing a weapon on school property. On March 13, 2012, a Middle School personnel found a book bag left outside of the school. Upon searching the bag for identification, a knife was found in the bag.

State police at Frackville are investigating a theft incident at the Tamaqua Area Middle School, which is located in Walker Township.

A 15-year-old female from Tamaqua reported her locker at the school was entered and removed was an eight inch "Nook" reader, white in color. The protective outer case of the "Nook" was discovered in the girls bathroom of the school.

The theft occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 15.

Lee Michalick, 28, 442 W. White St., Summit Hill, faces charges from an incident which took place on Dec. 31 on W. Patterson St., Lansford.

Charges of two counts of driving under the influence (DUI) and accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property were filed by Officer Jeffrey Ohl.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Ohl responded to a hit-and-run on West Patterson Street at 4:52 a.m. The dispatcher said the vehicle, a dark colored SUV, was last seen traveling east on Patterson Street.

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, along SR903, near Fawn Road, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Phillip J. Emberger, 45, of Jim Thorpe, was attempting to turn left out of a private lot to go north on 903 when he pulled into path of a 2000 Chrysler Voyager driven by Joie L. Costello, 24, also of Jim Thorpe.

The right front of Emberger's 1999 GMC Sierra struck the right front of the Voyager.

Ryan B. Sharpe, 28, 319 W. Abbott St., Lansford, faces charges as a result of an incident which took place between Jan. 1 and March 19. Charges of corruption of minors (a felony), indecent exposure, and open lewdness were filed by Det./Sgt. Jack Soberick and Officer Joshua Tom.

State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a utility trailer in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said James Henry McCabe, of Lewis Street, Brockton, Schuylkill Township, reported his 1998 International utility trailer, black in color, was stolen about 1:30 a.m. on March 18.

On the trailer at the time was a 2009 Toro Zero Turn lawn tractor, red in color.

Troopers said it is believed the criminals fled the scene toward Valley Street, then toward the village of MaryD.

A Lehigh County teen is facing a charge of theft following an incident that occurred at a Carbon County ski resort.

State police at Lehighton said Christopher Tyler Dieter, 19, of Whitehall, has been charged with theft for an incident that occurred on Feb. 13 at the Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Lower Towamensing Township.

Troopers allege that Dieter took a snowboard bag from atop a locker at the ski lodge. The listed victim is John Ruckel, of Spring City, Chester County.

A Monroe County woman is facing a charge of false reports to law enforcement authorities.

State police at Fern Ridge said Kelly Marie House, 23, of Effort, reported on March 12, that between 7:14 and 10:30 p.m. her vehicle was struck in the parking lot of the Citgo station along SR115, in Chestnuthill Township, and also claimed that terroristic threats were made against her father and brother.

Troopers said an investigation determined these claims were unsubstantiated and the charge is pending.
