Slatington police reported on two arrests made following a disturbance.

Police said about 3:15 p.m. on Monday, April 2, they were called to E. Church and Railroad sts., for a disturbance.

As the result of an investigation Dean Bachman, 50, of 551 E. Church St., and Brian DeLong, 39, of 112 Cherry St., Box 235, were both cited for disorderly conduct.

A Lehigh County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 7:20 p.m. on March 30.

State police at Fogelsville said Margaret Chomo, 53, of New Tripoli, was involved in a crash along Holbens Valley Road, in Weisenberg Township, when her vehicle struck the guard rail on the right side of the road. She fled the scene but was later stopped in Lynn Township. She was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest.

A Lehighton man has been cited for public drunkenness in the borough, again.

Richard E. Hartranft, 46, c/o 101 Lehigh Drive, was cited for an incident at 200 N. East Alley, on Sunday, April 1, at 9:30 p.m.

This is not the first time Hartranft has been cited for public drunkenness by borough police. He was previously cited on March 3.

A Tamaqua woman has been cited following a shoplifting incident at the Family Dollar Store on March 31.

Tamaqua police were dispatched to the Railroad Street store at 8:12 p.m. where store personnel had detained Amanda Welker, 24, of 34 Hunter St.

Welker was cited for retail theft.

A Schuylkill County teen driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, along N. West Lawn Road, in Branch Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a 17-year-old male from Pottsville was driving a 1994 Saturn SC2 southbound and approaching the intersection of the Minersville/Llewellyn highway when he failed to stop for a posted stop sign.

He began making a left turn to go east and lost control. The car traveled onto the south berm where it collided with a concrete culvert.

A Monroe County teen is facing a charge of retail theft count.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers were called to the Walmart store in Mount Pocono about 3:24 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, for a 16-year-old female juvenile in custody for theft.

The teen attempted to leave the store without paying for $116.49 worth of merchandise. She was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters and issued a citation and released

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating three crashes on Monday, April 1, along Monroe County roadways.

A crash occurred about 4:15 p.m. along SR715, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Michael Wasco, 16, of Saylorsburg, was operating a 1997 Subaru Legacy northbound when he crossed over the southbound lane and onto the left shoulder. The front end of the Legacy then collided into a utility pole. Upon impact the car spun and came to rest with its rear end resting against a tree.

Two separate vehicle stops by Pocono Mountain Regional police has led to charges pending against a driver and a passenger.

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes on Schuylkill County roadways.

A one vehicle crash occurred about 6:49 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, along First St., in Port Carbon. Troopers said Michael A. Morris, 25, of Port Carbon, was operating a 1991 Ford F150 pickup truck southbound and became distracted. He drove over an embankment on the south shoulder, then struck a utility pole with the passenger side front door, causing the truck to roll over onto its side.

The truck slid about 50 feet before coming to rest on the driver's side facing south.

A Tamaqua man was cited following a disturbance at the Citizen's Fire Company, Rowe Street, Tamaqua.

Justin Miller, 21, of 109 Lafayette St., allegedly interfered with a police investigation and refused to comply with Patrolman Thomas Duarte's orders to leave the area.

The incident occurred at 3:20 a.m. on Sunday. Miller was cited for disorderly conduct.
